Biodiversity plays an important role in maintaining the natural cycle and the balance of the environment, and the basis of life is human wealth and the stability of nature on earth. Currently, for a variety of reasons, the world's biodiversity resources are declining. The term biodiversity refers to the biological capital of an area, and in particular to the differences between living organisms at different levels of the biological organization, including genes, species, and ecosystems.
The Convention on Biological Diversity defines biodiversity as the variability of living things in all sources, including land, sea, and other aquatic ecosystems and ecological societies. Biodiversity includes a number of values that are vital to food production as well as to the ecological foundations needed to sustain human livelihoods. Sustainable development, on the other hand, is a development that meets the needs of the current generation without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their needs. As a result, the impact of current decisions on future generations is also significant.
Three Sustainable Development Goals have been identified:
1- Economic welfare
2. Social and human development
3- Sustainability and renewal of the environment
In order to establish a new world order, sustainable development is called the integration of economic, social and environmental development, which are strengthened as interdependent bases and operate at the local, national, regional and global levels. Poverty eradication and changes in unsustainable patterns of production and consumption, conservation and management of natural resources, and economic and social development have been cited as permanent and achievable goals and essential needs for sustainable development.
