The autumn issue of Boom Koreh, led by editor Omid Kiani, a student of Environmental Science and Engineering at the University of Tehran, focuses on advancing environmental education and conservation amidst challenges. The issue presents a variety of topics spanning scientific and socio-cultural domains. In the scientific section, articles cover biodiversity conservation with a study on vertebrate fauna in Alborz Province, eco-tourism through sustainable fishing practices, and the environmental impacts of dust storms, particularly in Khorasan Razavi Province. Additionally, the role of soil microbes in addressing climate change and an introduction to private wildlife reserves are explored.
The socio-cultural section highlights tools like ArcGIS Pro for spatial analysis and the Climate Change Knowledge Portal as resources for informed decision-making. Urban green spaces and their role in mitigating air pollution are also discussed, drawing insights from recent webinars.
The editorial emphasizes the importance of community engagement, inviting readers to provide feedback through surveys to improve the journal's future issues. Reflecting on his tenure as editor, Kiani expresses gratitude to contributors, including faculty members, students, and editorial team members, for their unwavering support in revitalizing Boom Koreh over the past three editions.
Acknowledging that no publication is without flaws, the editorial highlights the collective effort behind this issue and underscores a commitment to continuous improvement with the input of the environmental community and dedicated readers. The journal aspires to raise awareness and foster a deeper connection between society and environmental issues.
