The Boom Koreh journal was established in 2016 under the auspices of the Environmental Science Student Association of the Faculty of Natural Resources at the University of Tehran. Its aim is to examine current and significant environmental issues from a social and cultural perspective. Published quarterly in Persian with English summaries, this journal provides a platform for reflecting student efforts and raising public awareness on environmental topics.
Under the management of Sayad Sheikhy Eilanloo as the director-in-charge and Masoud Yousefi as the editor-in-chief, the journal released its first issue on the topic of ecotourism. Since then, it has established itself as a leading student-run publication in the field.
Boom Koreh welcomes scientific articles, analyses, and student perspectives on topics such as social ecology, sustainable environmental management, climate change challenges, interviews with environmental experts, nature tourism, biodiversity conservation, environmental economics, and other contemporary environmental issues. With an emphasis on producing documented and scientific content, the journal actively combats pseudoscience in the field and significantly contributes to nurturing students interested in promoting ecological science and knowledge.
By relying on student expertise, adopting a simple yet scientific language, and maintaining a socio-cultural perspective, Boom Koreh has taken effective steps toward promoting environmental awareness and culture within society.
